I cant tell you guys how important Level 1 has been to not only my lifestyle in skiing but micro generations of skiers throughout their twenty years. I remember my first purchase of a Level 1 Movie. It was Second Generation, and it was during my brother and I's first trip outside of New York to Stratton VT. Here, walking inside a store we saw the VHS copy in a casing reading the names of some of the guys we had just met on this trip, Derek Klick and Liam Downey. We had to buy it, since then we had bought every single Level 1 movie and aspired to make our own movies with the I Hate NY crew in following admiration or the work Josh Berman and Freedle Coty had down.
I never wouldve guess farther down the line that I would be featured in the movies of my heroes and even be an owner of an opening and closing segment, along with some of the greatest names to ever grace the ski industry. Level 1 has played such a significant role in the growth and independency of the Freeski world and continues to do so, building careers of new up and comers, holding some of the wildest Park sessions, pushing limits in the streets, and displaying artistry in the back country.
Its now been two decades since this power house came from near nothing to the top of the production lists, and it can only bring back a happy sense of nostalgia to hear the boys talk the making of each of the movies, we will keep an updated list with the podcasts and movies while they come out! Starting with Balance at the bottom to the most recent at the top:
Long Story Short:
