The country side of Sweden isn't exactly the place that comes to your mind when you think of skiing, but what could you come up with if you had to put a limit to the area you had to work with? Kim Boberg and Oliver Karlberg set out to film a movie in a place called Älvdalen, to use what you got instead of seeing whats not there. This movie was filmed within the area of a maximum range of 1 hour drive away from Älvdalen. Shot on location: Älvdalen Kläppen Skiresort Skiing by: Kim Boberg Oliver Karlberg Hugo Burwall Freddie Grann Phil Casabon Yohei Maruyama Filmed and edited by: Fredrik Larsson Additional editing: Björn Eklund Additional filming by: Björn Eklund Emil Granö Tobias Johansson Jacob Wester Directed by: Fredrik Larsson Kim Boberg Oliver Karlberg Cover: Petter Johansson Produced by: Armadaskis
AR Family: Kim Boberg "Where the Roots Are"
We visit AR Family member Kim Boberg’s in his hometown of Alvdalen City, Sweden, for his favorite weekend of the year: the Musik & Motor Festivalen. It’s one of the summer’s last stands before winter takes hold in Sweden and Kim gets back to doing what he loves: skiing. Follow along with us as Kim tears up Alvdalen, and enjoy this young phenom’s creativity as he lets it happen like no one else in the streets and the park.

Armada Presents SNOWCIETIES Ep. 1: Michigan
Mike Hornbeck has moved back home to Michigan for good, a spot not typically known as a skiing mecca but as Mike says, “You can ski anywhere and do it creatively, and make it fun.” With massive snowfall the past few years rivaling the Rockies, the suddenly snow-laden city of Grand Rapid offers up plenty for Hornbeck’s street skiing skill set. In Episode 1 of Snowcieties, Mike celebrates his skiing roots with friends Spencer Milbocker and Kim Boberg on a four-month urban mission spanning November to February.
